4One of few trunk bags in its size rangeOct 31, 2010
By Rob from MA "Rob"
This bag filled its roll well as a medium-sized trunk bag that holds everything I need it to. Among the things I used it to carry included a spare tube, patch kit, collapsible toolkit, pocket knife, tire irons, cable lock, headlamp, pressure gauge, along with numerous other small items. With all these items packed, I still had room for an SLR-sized camera. It also has a pocket under the lid that is big enough to hold any cell phone. Each of the outer pockets closes with two zippers, making them easy to open while on the road. The bag has a rear loop for attaching a tail light and six velcro straps with plenty of slack for securing it to a rear rack. It didn't shift or rattle while riding. The main body of the bag is quite rigid, but contains a thin foam, and so has a fair amount of flexibility. The side pockets aren't rigid, so have plenty of give. Lots of additional items could be stuffed into them, although I didn't push them to their limits. If you need to carry even more, the top lid has an elastic cord which can be securely tightened. The pockets are covered with a shiny, silvery fabric and each has a reflective silver strip of fabric, with a logo patch made of the same reflective material only on the left pocket. Overall, the bag is quite attractive. I chose this bag mainly because it is one of only a few of its size. Most other trunk bags are considerably larger and bulkier. My only disappointment so far occurred when I first unboxed the bag and discovered that one of the shoulder strap loops was completely detached on one end. Repairing it was rather difficult, since I had to remove the rigid plastic insert in the lid and stitch around the pocket that held it. Hopefully, this defect is a rarity. Assuming I'm right, I would recommend it.

3Okay for a smaller bagApr 12, 2011

This trunk bag is not quite as big as I expected but is good for small amounts of gear for shorter rides. You can easily fit a wallet and keys into each of the two side pockets. Main compartment is sufficient for a couple of 500ml water bottles, keys, and perhaps a wallet or compact bike lock cable. If you are looking for more storage, you should look at a different bag. This is a well-made bag of good quality, just smaller than I prefer.

3A Nice Little BagJun 08, 2011
By Ray Kliesing
It arrived on time. Like others have said it is a medium size bag of good construction. My only complaint is that the two velcro strips that secure the frontend of the bag to the rack should be longer. The lead should be about two-inches longer than what is sewn to the bag. Once you loop the leads around the rack there is very little slack left to tack it down. Only about 1/2" to 3/4" left to tack down and I don't consider that secure enough for velcro.

4Nice itemApr 06, 2012

This serves it's purpose well. Great for the price. My only issue is that 2 of the velcro tabs are arranged in such a way that it is sometimes difficult to get them peeled apart after attaching them to the bike, and the other two that I would like to use are very short and really don't work well for my rack. I use a carabiner to clip it to the rack and that works well.

4Medium size mag of medium constructionApr 02, 2012
By Darell Dickey "-= Darell =-"
The size of bag is perfect. If a high-quality maker would produce this size we'd be in business. The quality is acceptable for occasional rides. I need something that will hold up over the long haul under severe conditions. I'm sure this will work for a while. As others have said, the velcro tabs on the front are too short. The ones on the side are much better.

One bit of info I can add (since the product description is so wimpy: It weighs almost exactly 1 pound. Or 450 grams. I still don't know the volume.

Somebody please tell me what the additional velcro loops on both sides are for?? If there were two on ONE side it could hold a pump, I suppose. But one on each side? Help me out here.
