Looks great and worked like a charmNov 13, 2011

I needed a new seatpost clamp. I wanted a quick release one. This cost as much as the tooled style. What more could I ask for?
Great "upgrade", does the jobSep 09, 2011
By Chinaman101 I actually bought this for my road bike, and it works fine. However, my reason for use might be a bit different than others. I sit fairly upright on my bike, so there's not a lot of seatpost to work with. I bought a repair stand that clamps to the seatpost, so with my previous seat collar I had to break out a hex key every time I wanted to work on the bike. Now I just flip the lever, raise the seatpost, and reclamp. The hassle and time that this saves me is worth the price. I've experienced a bit of slippage over several days of riding, but the nut has a hex head top so I can fine tune as needed. I wish the seller I got it from didn't charge more for shipping than the cost of the clamp itself, but overall still worth it.
Nice, light, functionalSep 06, 2011
By BillJ. I got this quick release seat clamp to replace the stock clamp on my wife's Cannondale which came with one that requires use of a hex wrench to adjust. As she is just starting out in the MTB world it is nice for her to be able to drop the seat a bit to help stay comfortable on descents. Make sure you get the right size, as there are different size seat post tubes. This clamp appears very well made. The black finish and lettering all look right in place. For our purposes the ability to adjust seat height without tools clearly supersedes the minute increase in weight that I assume the quick release mechanism and lever create. Price was great, and even with shipping, probably half what I would have paid in my LBS, (Local Bike Shop) I support several LBS's and buy there frequently, but with something that I have no rush to replace I go where I can find a better deal.

This clamp is well made. Light, strong, easy to use, nicely manufactured. It has an adjusting nut that is rubber covered making it easy to grip and turn. Clamp costs much less than another I use that is not rubber covered. I've only used this for a month so time will tell, but so far so good. Like I said, it costs 1/8 of some others and seems to work fine.
