4Cheap and effectiveSep 12, 2007
By Gordon T. Nichols "Gordo"
These pedals are a little stiff around the spindle but handle great. I bought 2 pairs and installed one on my 78 MOTOBECANE mash-up and they work great. sometimes they have a tendancy to flip while riding though, however your feet don't fall off, do not plan on using flip flops to ride with these pedals as they will really bite into soft footware. Theya als9o handled quite nicley with long cranks in a turn when they hit the ground they started grinding down instead of making you crash.

Great pedals shipped very quickly very pleased. I was hoping for a little larger size area but that's on me. The pedals seem well built and the delivery was handled to perfection. thanks!

3sturdy, but steel is softNov 21, 2010

As the first review here indicates, the steel is soft and will grind in a lighter pedal strike. This has been beneficial for me in at least one occasion. Obviously this means that the teeth on the top, which bite into the sole of the shoe, wear down notably and will not grab a harder sole nearly as well. I found this to be a treacherous situation too often. BEWARE if your footwear has a harder sole, you WILL lose your footing occasionally.

Also, they do have a tendency to flip quickly if you foot leaves the pedal. The bottom side is not a stable foot position.

Other than these two aspects, these pedals are solid.

tl;dr they flip up side down constantly and are too slippery in time with hard soled shoes b/c the steel is soft.
