You want the other modelOct 04, 2010
By Rodney Schuler I maintain a fleet of about 35 kids bikes for my wife's daycare business. She get donations of mostly of cheap department store kids bikes. The most often broken part is the training wheels. So, I have bought and installed lots of replacement training wheels over the years.
You really want the model with the `sturrip' that goes forward and fits over the chainstay. That keeps the training wheel from flipping back and upward when the kid puts weight on it. Wald makes many durable models with this feature. Go buy one of those.

Solid Product - RecommendedJul 20, 2007
By Henry Chmielefski Bought these for my 4-year-old. As my title said, a very solid, well made item, adustable as he becomes more balances as he learns to ride.
Almost an out of the part home run, except I wish they threw in two washers so I don't have to keep tightening the bolts as often... I'll just have to dig up a couple of my own. Other than that minor annoyance, it is a superior product and I do recommend it!

Good purchaseMay 27, 2008
By T. Hay I couldn't believe how hard it was to find 12" training wheels for my 2 1/2 year-old. The local stores were sold out. These have worked great. They were easy to install and my little one loves riding her bike. It's a bike that is a few years old but we had thrown out the old training wheels when my older daughter learned to ride without them. These wheels have been a good replacement.

By E. Marshall I am delighted to have found a set of wheels that is NOT plastic, NOT gimmicky and does extremely well what it is supposed to do.
