Doesn't fit all saddlesSep 18, 2010
By T. Burgess I bought this at the LBS, which is great because I can take it back. I wanted it for my wife's bike, but the Bontragger seat that came with bike does not have the more vertical rails that this bag would fit on. They are just straight out. The bag clip has about a 30 degree or more angle, so won't fit at all. So, I tried it on my mountain bike, the rails on that saddle are too close. I tried it on my Brooks saddle, their too far apart, I tried it on the Scott saddle, again, it won't fit. So, what saddle will it fit? I suggest taking your saddle in to the shop to see what will fit before you buy one. I'm going back to the strap and hook, simple system, no worries about if it will fit. Other than that, I do like the bag style. Looks like it would have been very useful system. Too bad it won't work.
Topeak Wedge Pack with Fixer (Medium)Nov 20, 2010
By Heng This product is great, easy to put on. plenty of space for a co2 pump, inner tube, tools and still have more room. it easy to remove because of the clips. worth the money.
Excellent pack, but not a light-weightMay 19, 2010
By J. Caffarella Given that I generally road bike for distance or MTB in the wilderness, and like to carry anything and everything, just in case I should flat or break a chain in the middle of nowhere, the Topeak Wedge w/ Fixer is a great pack. The provided tool kit includes an assortment of useful tools that are neatly nestled in the top zipper portion of the pack, while the bottom provides ample space for a spare tube, cell phone, bandages and snack food. In addition to the tool kit, a rain cover is provided for riding in wet or muddy conditions. I especially like the quick-lock removal feature of this pack. With the press of a button, the pack quickly and easily slides off the seatpost mount and into your hands. However, this is only accomplished if you first unfasten the velcro strap lashing the pack to your seatpost, otherwise you'll be tugging and wondering why the pack isn't coming off. This isn't a light-weight pack, so if you're counting the grams, this isn't the pack for you, but if weight comes second in priority to carrying lots of stuff, this pack will serve you well. I highly recommend this pack for all the above-reasons.
Good Bag But May Not Fit All SaddlesNov 11, 2009
By Siron The attachment did not fit my saddle as the supports were too close. I had to jury rig something to make it fit. Strange as my saddle is made by Bowtrange which is a well known make.
Broke in less than a monthOct 18, 2009
By AcornMan The concept behind this bag is a good one. I like the idea of being able to quickly remove the bag when I lock it up somewhere. But the plastic bracket that secures the bag to the underside of the saddle broke less than a month after I started using it. I'm going back to using a "low tech" bag that just uses a simple velcro strap to secure the bag so I don't have to worry about this happening again.
