Don't buy this for your 10-speed UltegraJul 19, 2010
By Steve Spyker I'd give this five stars based on how much I loved the flight deck computer on my old Tiagra 9-speed. The mode buttons on the shifters is genius and the display of gear you are in is brilliant and really useful (not to mention a lot safer than looking back at your cogs). I especially dig how it gives you cadence without having to mount a clunky pick-up (it knows your gear, speed, and wheel size so it only has to do the math to tell you your cadence; how cool is that?). But when I upgraded to the "flight deck compatible" (according to Shimano's web site and the sticker on the shifters themselves) 6700 10 sped groupo my old interface/harness wouldn't fit, so I ordered this one. It didn't fit either. Asked around, finally got Shimano tech support on the phone. Cool that I was able to do that and talk to a knowledgeable person. Not at all cool what he had to say. The "project" that would have made the compatible harness had "been canceled." In other words, they'll sell you the thing as flight deck compatible, but they can't be bothered to actually make it that way. Boo on Simano. Zero stars. Call me a new SRAM fan. Guess that averages out to mercy C (3 stars).
