Safety first: a good bike helmutMar 12, 2011

I bought this helmet because I needed something dependable to go riding with here in the State of Florida. Florida, for those of you who do not know, does NOT require helmet's for motorcycle riders, even though the statistics show that head injuries can be reduced -- to include by implication, deaths -- by those who wear helmets. As my wife is an RN she advised me quite strongly to wear a helmet. Thus, my purchase.
The helmet fits well. It has adjustable straps on both sides so that it can be snugged up under the chin, and thus reduce the risk of the helmet flying off in an accident. In particular, I like the fact that there is a visor in front. It doesn't stick out quite far enough to suit me, but it definitely helps keep the sun out of my eyes while I'm riding. I figure one can always wear a real visor under the helmet if it becomes necessary. I'm not too worried about that.
In summation, I feel a lot safer while I'm riding, knowing that mjy chances of surviving a serious head injury are reduced by this well fitting and well constructed helmet.
I highly recommend this.
