Substitute the patches with your quality ones and this would be a great product.Aug 11, 2009
By A. Vega This Lever/Patch Kit Combo isn't all that bad. It actually feels good in the hands when using them. I only have two faults with this. #1 The patches that come with it are junk. If you buy this product make sure you replace them with quality before you ride. #2 If this was only a little thicker it could have held a place for a small tube of vulcanizer. Other than those petty things, it's compact, lightweight and stores your patches and sandpaper within it. I used it many times on my MTB and road bike and the levers worked great.

Nice ToolMar 21, 2009

Eventually, you'll need a tool like this (that is IF you change your own tires). This little tire lever is great. It did not come with instructions, but having change tires with screw drivers, I figured out a method, and it beats the screw drives hands down! It made changing a tire SO much easier (Why did I go for so many years with out one?).
Plus, these guys are sturdy, easy on the hands (with rounded edges), compact, and very, very inexpensive.

All you need to change & repair a flatJun 14, 2009

Everyone has a flat sometime and when it happens, you'll be glad you have this tool. Levers, sandpaper and patches in a compact design. The levers have smooth, rounded ends which make it easy to use with out damaging the tire or tube.

Must haveAug 27, 2009
By S. Porciuncula Just changed both of my tires using these. They are sturdy and do exactly what they're made to do. I don't ride without them.
Good but the levers are not as strong as they should beAug 12, 2011

I bought these and immediately got to use them multiple times due to some bad luck on the trail (2 flats in a 30 mile ride). The levers themselves are very well designed, but are made of plastic which seems too brittle. One of the small 'guide' edges on the small end of the lever broke off on the 2nd tire repair. A break after only two uses is not acceptable to me, even for an inexpensive item.
Also, the patches are not the vulcanizing variety, and are instead extra-thick plastic stickers. I think they're fine for a quick patch to get back home or to your car, but I don't trust them for longer term usage.
Overall this is an average kit. Probably about what I should expect for the price, but definitely a 3-star product only.
