A great deal!Feb 02, 2011

This saddle is great, especially for the price. I own several different saddles ranging from $20-$250 and I currently use this saddle in place of my SMP saddle. So, if you want a good saddle and you are on a budget, Origin-8 is a good option.

Great Seat for Long RidesNov 13, 2011
By Bob Weaver This might be the most comfortable seat I've ridden to date.
I've tried the fabric covered gel saddles, they're not anywhere near as comfy for anything over about 5 miles. I actually rode 102 miles on one in a day... It didn't turn out well. My road bike came with [at least what I thought was] a decent seat and I rode anywhere from 5-40 miles on it without issues. But I would notice it getting uncomfortable (not really painful or anything) after 15 miles or so.
Don't be fooled by the small amount of padding this one has. It's the perfect amount and it's in the perfect spots (the only place you really NEED padding on a bike seat is under those two boney parts; but a little on the nose of the seat never hurts though (ha ha, get it?)). I don't know who dreamed up those thick gel seats, but they obviously don't ride more than a couple miles at a time. When you sit on a gel saddle, the gel squishes out of the way like water would so you're pretty much sitting on the hard plastic shell that makes up the base of the seat. Anyway, I digress, I'll get back to the subject at hand.
The cover material on this seat feels like a pretty thick plastic. I haven't noticed any scratches/abrasions/cuts/cracks/etc on my first one and it has around 800 miles on it. I'm also a pretty heavy fellow (I hover around 220 lbs) and it holds me fine (read: no rails bending or whatever). And yes, I said my first one earlier, thanks for paying attention. I like this seat so much, I ordered another last week. I'm thinking of ordering a couple more so I have some spares down the road too.
The bottom line with this one is it's a great price, it seems pretty tough, it's SUPER comfy (totally serious) and it even looks pretty sleek. Oh, and yeah, both of mine have the larger logo on the top of the nose as one of other folks mentioned.

nice and cheapJun 06, 2011
By snakechild cheap, firm yet soft. slim design. it's great.
the logo is on the top of it, and it's slightly bigger than i'd like it to be. but it's not like you notice it when you're riding. i'd recommend this to anyone i know

Something to look out forMay 15, 2011
By D. Min The seat looks nice, but the logo placement is different from the picture shown. The saddle I got looked like this: [....]
Notice that the logo is bigger and on the top front area. I don't think it's a big deal at all, but it is worth noting if you're shopping for a saddle based on appearance.
As for the comfortability of the seat...I haven't had it for too long so I can't give an accurate rating on how comfortable it is. Seems pretty firm though.

Not for long ridesApr 25, 2010
By N. Joslyn When I first got this saddle, I found it to be fairly firm and uncomfortable. I quickly got used to it, and it seemed more comfortable than my other one. There is a lot of padding on the top to cushion your behind. However, this is also the downfall of this saddle, since after any long (or not so long) ride, I would sink down into the saddle and I began to experience that very uncomfortable burning sensation down there. I had to come out of the saddle every once in a while just for my crotch to cool off. And for those of you wondering, yes, I had it adjusted correctly. Too much cush!
