Durable, long-lasting chainDec 21, 2010
By Gary Grossman I purchased a KMC Z610HX for my singlespeed road bike based on this review: [...]
I figured if it was good enough for BMX kids to do "grinding", it would probably be durable enough for my much milder riding habits.
The chain has lasted 3,500 miles through rain and shine and shows little sign of wear. It shows little sign of chain stretch; it still measures exactly 12 inches for 12 links. And I've abused it a bit... I haven't cleaned it nearly as often as I should.
This chain comes OEM on a number of good quality singlespeed/fixed gear bikes such as the Bianchi Pista. (My Bianchi San Jose came with a cheaper KMC Z30, which I replaced after 1,500 miles.)
I will probably replace this chain after a few hundred more miles just to be on the safe side, but it's performed well and I plan to buy the same chain again. For $13.43 for thousands of miles of service, it's an excellent value.

Tough, beefy 3/32" chainOct 03, 2011
By James K. Guerry I have not had this chain for long, but already I am impressed. It is much beefier than the standard 3/32" chains I have previously used. As docaaron1 mentioned, this makes it slightly more difficult to use the CT-5 Park mini chain tool. However, using a little more force than usual, I was able to squeeze the chain in the tool and push the pin out fine. I would imagine it would be very difficult to push the pin back in using the CT-5, but this is a nonissue since the chain comes with a master link. I should mention that I had to use pliers to snap the master link's locking pin in place, but that was not difficult to do either. Also, unlike the chain in the picture, mine was completely silver in color and did not have black pins.
Overall, I would definitely buy this product again, but I doubt I will need to for a very long time.

Strong chain but...Aug 15, 2011
By docaaron1 The chain is strong and a good looking silver color. However I could not get it to fit my Park mini chain breaker but I did manage to squeeze it mostly in. I guess because the side plates are thicker than most it did not seat in the chain tool correctly. The mini chain breaker worked great on my other chains but nearly broke the pusher-pin with this chain. So a little heads up noting a different or special chain tool is needed, would have been nice.
Good chain.Dec 28, 2011
By Robert Morales I was hoping for a little more shine/bling with this chain. It is still nice though, can't complain, the price was right.
Nice inexpensive chainAug 29, 2011
By Seth Horning I bought this chain for my single speed conversion. I've put around 100 miles on it so far, and it seems to be just fine. It came with a master link, which is a plus for me because it can be a pain to connect a chain using a normal link. Seems strong and well made for the cost. I would definitely buy another.
