Great kickstand, great priceOct 10, 2007

Great kickstand (but seriously, how do you screw that up?) at a great price. Shipping doubled the cost, but what are you going to do? I am afterall, on a bike. It's not as if I could whip over to the local K-Mart and buy one. (That's a ten mile ride, one way, by Interstate)
Anyway, it is a nice kickstand and the black looks much better on my (red and black) bike than the aluminum one it replaced.
I do have one question though: What's with the "poly bag"? IT'S THE FREAKING PACKAGING FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!
Ignore the poly bag part and your $8.50 will be well-spent.
P.S.
The "poly bag" isn't black, it's clear. It isn't good for much, but it is heavy duty. It could possibly be reused for something; maybe a place to store your Barbie heads or belly-button lint.

Great build, look & quality but.......Jun 23, 2010

This is a very nice, easy to install kickstand that's somewhat light weight that works well and looks good. But it's too short in length. Sometimes I need to look for higher surface in order to hold the bike up. In fact I ordered the matching rubber foot for it (a must!) which adds to the length and it's still a little short. I had to insert a couple small nuts inside the foot and glue the foot on to add to the length to make it work.
I can't imagine anyone buying this without the foot. If it was long enough I would have given it a 5-star review without reservation.

Greenfield Kickstand review.Aug 16, 2009
By Jon L. Samusson Needed something to keep my fairly expensive road bike from kissing the pavement. I'm an old-school bicyclist, and now I'm not as interested in watching every gram of my installed equipment. This fits on my 2008 Specialized Allez without a problem. Since the frame is aluminum, I don't tighten it as much as on a steel frame, but it has been working great. No scratches on the paint, and no falling over. The instructions were clear and concise. It took about 15 minutes to install. That includes checking the position several times, installing, checking the length, cutting to the correct size and reinstalling. Great product, well constructed and still fairly lightweight.
