GREAT chain lube, even for a lazy maintainerOct 29, 2009

Sorry, but I don't trust anything but a wet lube to protect my chain in the wet Portland weather. And this lube does the job! I commute twenty miles each day over (mostly) paved streets (with three blocks of pure dirt). I'm terrible at maintenance - I lube my chain maybe every 60 or 90 days, and I have never really cleaned it. But this lube sees me through, despite my bad habits.
Apply it heavily, let it soak in, and wipe off the excess. You are now good to go in a rainy urban environment for months!
If you normally ride in wet dirt then you probably know this is not the product for you. But, if you ride on rainy streets, you cannot do better!

Good stuffMar 06, 2010

I was using Tri flow super lubricant with teflon and I was having problems in the cold and wet conditions. basically it wasn't working at all. Id apply in the morning and on my way home my chain would be locking up. in comes finish line.
works much better in cold or wet conditions and lasts awhile. I think I might like it better than using teflon for all conditions. I have to do a direct comparison to be for sure but as of now I like the finish line wet lube.
as far as which lubricates better, id have to go with finish-line wet lube.
UPDATE: I love this stuff. I do, however, think that it does draw a little more dirt and grime than tri flow, but not by much. Never the less, the chain needs to get cleaned fairly often, at least by my standards. Seeing this I decided to try Finish Line DRY Teflon Bicycle Chain Lube. That stuff is DRY, let me tell you. Definitely does not work as well in the rain or cold and doesn't last half as long but the chain stays MUCH cleaner. You'd need to apply more often but clean much less which is VERY convenient. I use the wet lube in rain, snow and cold weather. I use the Dry lube for dry, dusty conditions. Boise is very dry so right now I use the Dry stuff more. But, as far as which lubes better in a controlled environment, I'd say the wet lube does a slightly better job.

Good stuff, just watch the usageJun 10, 2011

This is good stuff. I commute in the NW so I ride in the rain a lot. It does just as advertised and lasts a long time however make sure especially with a wet lube that you're not applying too much to the chain (maybe one drop where each link connects) and wipe the chain thoroughly after application because this stuff will attract a lot of dirt and gunk to your chain if you use it too liberally. Leaving dirt on your chain is a good way to wear your chain out quickly and if you're not careful, you'll wear out your cassette cogs also.

By John F. Brehm This is a great product, it goes on easily and keeps my chain silent and lubed for hundreds of miles.

make sure you get the right sizeApr 29, 2010
By A. Popuri This is a good product but I didn't actually get the cross country lube. I got the Finish Line Wet Lube. I'm pretty sure that that the Wet Lube the replacement to the cross country lube. Also, I didn't realize I ordered a 2oz lube bottle. It is TINY. Make sure you at least get a 4oz bottle if you want it to last. This lube is good, it just wasnt the lube that was shown in the picture.
