Looks neat, but that's its only good point.Sep 03, 2007
By L. Wittenberg I really wanted this mirror to be a good choice, but it wasn't.
Installing the mirror perfectly (so that the end cap is flush with the end of the bar, when it is retracted) is a bit of a struggle, and trial and error. Once I finally installed it to my satisfaction, I took it for a test ride and was quite disappointed in how difficult it was to use.
The mirror is: 1. Too narrow 2. Too shaky 3. Difficult to aim, and keep aimed.
So, it's quite impressive to look at while you are standing still, but for actual use it is almost worthless.

Great idea, but do your homework!Jun 24, 2008
By Kenbo in Ohio I fell in love with the idea of this tool, but ran into problems upon trying to install it. Your handlebar tube must be perfectly round for the unit to slide in and out. My tube has been slightly dented, and I couldn't make the mirror fit inside when folded. I tried to modify the product, and ended up ruining it in the process. Not the fault of the product or the vendor, but make sure you check out your handlebars BEFORE ordering!

Retracting mirror by VĂ¼BarSep 08, 2004

I recieved this item today for my cross mountain bike. It was an easy install , just popping off the end cap of the handle bar and inserting it into the handle bar. The mirror folds in half and the whole unit hides within that , when it's not in use. Out on the road I had no problem seeing what was behind me, being that I can not hear with the air flow through my helmet. Good thing to have!

Not likely...Aug 07, 2005
By S. White I would have to be a Jedi Knight to see behind myself with this product. The view pain is very small and it is not stable so its all over the place!
Cycleaware Vubar Bar End Bicycle MirrorOct 22, 2011
By Subeedude This is a total piece of crap IMO. I believe the description says that it fits most handlebars. That's ridiculous. It can only fit one handlebar size, and it did not fit mine. I used a Dremel to make it fit, but this is what happened afterwards. You are supposed to be able to push the mirror into the end of the handlebar when not in use, which it did. When I went to remove it, the mirror came out and the mount stayed deep inside the handle bar. Save your money there are better mirrors available on Amazon.
