Cheng Shin C732 Road Tire 27" x 1-1/8" Wire Black WallMar 11, 2009

"Arm strong"
These tires are an amazingly good value. I had been using the Pyramid brand gum wall 27 inch tires. These Cheng Shins are lighter, ride better, and wear longer. I've been getting about 2000 miles of wear on the rear tire without bulging or casing failure at over 100 PSI.

Excellent tireNov 14, 2010
By scmillion So far this tube has been great: very light, grips the road great with low rolling resistance. It also seems to be pretty fairly puncture resistant, no flats in about 100 miles, and I ride on some pretty rough roads. This tire easily contends with more expensive counterparts, but for around $10 you can't go wrong. Perfect for a commuter or bike restoration.

Great choice for replacementMay 18, 2009
By Alexander Knecht I bought an old Raleigh Super Course that I restored and needed a new rear tire. This is one of the relatively few models that still come in the 27" size, and it works great. Reasonably light, very finely woven, and nice and flexible with thin sidewalls. It doesn't have the ultra-low rolling resistance of a racing tire, but it still gives a lively ride with a lot of traction. It does my old bike complete justice; I would recommend it highly for a great deal.

very sorry i could not leave a review on the tire performance but riding on the ice and snow would not give accurate info. but from what i can see is this is an awsome deal for the price.i would pay $[...] a piece for these. alot better than i expected actually. i saw some walmart tires for [...] bucks a piece and they were almoast twice as heavy. they were 27 x 1 1/4 and 90 psi. beleve me these tires are very light and you will be pleased with riding these.
Fantastic tires for little money.May 04, 2012
By Marcelo Olguin I just recently finished restoring a '78 Schwinn Traveler 3 and these tires were the last piece to the puzzle. The new tires were a bit difficult to install but that was just due to me not having a proper tire leaver. I eventually got the tires on by using the handle of a spoon. Since the restoration I have put a few hundred miles on the tires and so far I am very pleased with them. On smooth flat roads there is minimal road noise and the grip is exceptional considering the price. However considering that these tires are very narrow I would not recommend taking sharp corners at any speeds above normal. I tried to make a quick 90 degree turn on a dusty sidewalk and I lost grip in the front wheel which almost caused me to crash. Other than that these tires are great. If you avoid riding on any sort of surface besides asphalt these tires are exceptional. Since day one I have use Slime tire sealant so I don't know how puncture resistant the tires are without the sealant. I would defiantly recommend these tires to anyone that has an older bike that still uses the 26inch diameter rim.
