beware of problemsMay 08, 2006
By Frank I've had mine for about 8 months now. The first problem was the batteries only lasted 6 months. Now it has developed a problem where it keeps reseting (may be batery contacts became loose) so I have to set up the ID between the transmitter and the head unit. It is a PITA to do that everytime. Last few days it got even worst, now everytime I go over a pot hole or bump it resets. So I've stopped using it. I'll contact Cateye to see if they offer a service to repair or replace it. IEven if I did not have this reset issue I'd say stay away from this, it is very tedious to use, for example to reset the counters I have to press 3 buttons all at once and when you are wearing gloves you can for get it. Even when I am not wearing gloves it is not easy to reset the counters.

Very good , BUT...Apr 17, 2006

I really like this little cyc comp.... however I find that it is too finicaty to keep pressing the buttons to move between displays... there is no 'SCAN' function whereby it moves from display to display every 3 seconds or so...
I have bought the remote buttons now and will see how they work.
The numbers are fine and I can see them ok, but the other indicators are too small for my 45 year old eyes (+1.25)!!!
But having no wires is key and it is so worthwhile... So buy it if yor eyes are ok, and get the remote buttons from CatEye's website - they are about $15 plus S&H...

While this Wireless Cycle Computer has great features as described, I have found it difficult to use in practice. It is difficult to conveniently move between features and to reset the information it presents (e.g., time, distance, etc.) When I am not trying to reset the information presented, the CatEye is great. I should add that CatEye's customer service was great. When initially installing the Cycle Computer one of the pieces broke to attach the Computer to my bike's handlebars. After contacting Cat Eye, they promptly followed up with a replacement.

Works great, easy to install and no wiresAug 28, 2007

I have an earlier model Cateye that has worked well with no problems. It had nice extra features. So with my new Trek road bike I wanted a dual wireless cadence computer. I tried two other brands and they were both problematic. One had two separate transmitters with the cadence continually dropping out. The other brand had a split wired cadence and wireless speed sensor. It does not work very well riding along roads with parallel powerlines. I was ready to give up but decided to give the Cateye a try since I had good success with Cateye products and this model had good reviews even though it is on the upside of pricey.
I'm glad I did as it works great and the dual wireless sensor mount is slick with both sensors contained in the same unit which mounts on the rear lower tube right behind the down tube, (see manual).

CatEye CC-CD300DW Double Wireless Cycle ComputerApr 05, 2007

Computer functions are excellent. Screen is configured for easy review of key functions (cadence, distance and speed at the same time). The only downside is the mount is designed for only the handlebars. It would be nice if this computer could be mounted on the stem or an aero bar like my previous Cateye Micro Wireless computer.
