By Dauboo i have tried similar products, but the others didnt work, this one does though! i got the purple one, which when lit up is pretty much blue. i just wish you could turn them off manually, for day time riding. still cool though.
I have the green version of these and they seem to do okJun 20, 2009
By J. Silva These seem to work better than the competing brand 'tire flies' ( i believe that's how the competitive brand is spelled). Anyway, from my experience tire flies are notorious for working inconsistently-you would buy a set of two and one of them usually doesn't work so you'd have to buy two sets. Then after a week or two, one of the lights doesn't work. And tire flies aren't that bright.
This brand seems to be a bit brighter and so far they have worked pretty consistently. The only issue i have with them is that they are always on when you ride - day or night. i wish there was a way to have them turn off when i'm riding during the day so as to not waste the battery.
I use green tiresparx with the following for my night rides: Down Low Glow Lighting Kit - Two Tubes-Envy(green) Planet Bike Beamer 3 LED Bicycle Light with Quick Cam Bracket MountPlanet Bike Blinky Super Flash 1/2-Watt Blaze LED Plus 2 eXtreme LED Rear Bicycle Light

cool gentle blue-purple glowAug 10, 2008
By R. Jones not as bright as some of the other colors (eg. green) but a cool purpley-blue glow. still gives you good visibility from the side for night riding
