Great bagsAug 17, 2008

Used these panniers on a 7 day ride. They are easy to pack and mount on the rack. Their 65 liter capacity handled all the gear I needed. Had one massive rainstorm, and the rain covers kept everything dry. The only thing that keeps me from rating these bags at 5 stars is that one of the bags fell off after hitting a series of bumps. After that experience, I used some 16 guage wire to tie the two panniers together (weaving the wire through the top of the rack). No problems after that. I would definitly recommend these bags (just be sure to use wire or rope to ensure that they stay on the rack!)

Recently used these on a 300 mile trip across Michigan. They hold a TON of gear, well constructed and easy to use, and they kept my stuff dry despite riding through several rainstorms and I didn't even apply the included rain covers! They attach easy and won't fall off. You can spend a lot more than this on other name brands but why? Look no further if you need large capacity.

Nice Product but a little too Big for MeOct 05, 2007

These deserve five stars in terms of quality and such. I gave them four merely because they are not the best for commuters. They are a little big. I know I had the measurements, but it's one thing to have them and another to actually have them and the product. I wanted to use them also as a backpack once I got to campus (I'm a grad student), and the shoulder strap they came with was pretty weak. Moreover the hooks that attach them to the rack are nice and big, but that also means they dig into you and catch on your clothes, when you carry it/them around. They are of nice quality and really seem to stay on the rack well. The rain covers look good and they have plenty of space. We'll see. I am still trying to figure out how to use them.

These panniers are great! They hold clothes, sleeping bag, and my tent! I don't even use a trunk or front panniers when i go bike camping now. The only thing to be weary of is they may be too big for some. I'm 6'5 and have a monster of a bike to accompany me (scott sportster P5 XL) so it works for me.

Although most other reviews of this item seemed to be concerned with the overwhelming size of these bags, I find them perfect for groceries and other errands. They are designed well enough that your heels won't bump them while peddling and they have size-variating straps allowing them to expand and contract based on your uses. Also if you run into some rain they come with bright yellow protectors that elastically fit over each bag. They are absolutely perfect for the average commuter.
