Great product - matches the Schwinn trailerJun 20, 2010 Very happy with the product. I was able to get it on the Schwinn bike trailer with a little "forcing" effort but it is on very snug and secure. My 4 year old girls like the added security and being able to look around without fear of falling.
More Security for totsApr 05, 2010 We bought this along with the Trail-A-Bike just before my son turned 3. He was a little nervous getting on a "big bike" after being used to riding his trike around, but being belted in eases his mind. Even though his legs aren't yet long enough to do active pedaling, he enjoys being along on the ride. Especially since there is a playground at the end of our 5 mile route.

Perfect for our secial needs son!Mar 27, 2010 This backrest is wonderful! I have had a difficult time building a workable biking system for my 6 year old son with autism. He is able to ride a bike, but unable to understand the rules of the road. The tag-a-long bike was a great solution, but that was only one of our problems.
Problem #2: Staying on the bike: This backrest and seatbelt keep him on when we hit a sudden bump while he is daydreaming or when he just wants to put his feet up and get pulled along. Also great for those reluctant school mornings! (otherwise he might just slide off the back!)
Problem #3: Maintaining balance for US!: My son WIGGLES! a lot! and I was scared of keeping our balance if he suddenly leaned to the side.
Solution: I bought an adult tricycle! I needed a bike anyway, so this solved this problem and helped with the next one...
Problem #4: How to bring my 2 year old along too!: Solution: ibert front mounted child seat. My daughter LOVES this seat and so do I. She leads our Trike Train!
iBert Safe-T Front Mounted Child Bicycle Seat
This system is very stable but isn't light! The tricycles with smaller wheels (20") work better for this, although the 26" will work with occasional rubbing.

? Has anyone used this with Wee Ride Co-Pilot Trainer ?Jan 05, 2010 Couple of questions:
1) Has anyone had any success combining the Adam's Backrest for the Trail-a-Bike with the Wee Ride Co-Pilot Trainer (bike trailer)?
According to the amazon.com product page for this item (the "People who bought this also bought" section), some folks bough both items. So, I was just wondering if they were able to make them fit together, because some of the bike vendors I've spoken **don't think** they'll be able to work together, because:
- Wee Ride Co-Pilot Trainer (bike trailer) has a seat diameter of 27.2mm
- Adam's Backrest for the Trail-a-Bike needs a seat diameter of 25.4mm
2) Does anyone else have any recommendations on a bike trailer that will work with a backrest/seatbelt system (same brand or different brands) that are being sold at a price near or around the products described above?
- Around $50 for the backrest / seat belt system (or as close to that price as possible); and
- Around $70 for the bike trailer
Thanks!
Awesome InventionSep 10, 2009 We typically go for very long bike rides, this was great peace of mind with our 4 year old. We bought this last summer when he was 3 and he couldn't reach the pedals all the way, but we felt safe going on small bike rides with this seat back. We have had our trail-a-bike for 8 years now, and this was a huge improvement.
